Provinzialkonzil (Prov. Armagh); 1158
Twenty-five bishops attended this synod, convened by the reforming archbishop of Armagh, Gilla meic Liac, along with the papal legate. The place is unidentified, but may be Braymount, in the parish of Laracor (Meath). On their way there, the bishops of Connacht were beaten and robbed by the king of Meath. The synod confirmed the abbot of Derry, Flathbertach Ua Brolcháin, as bishop of Iona.
