The Synodicon hispanum (= SH) intends to present in a critical edition all the diocesan synods held in the Iberian Peninsula between 1215 and 1563, in order to document different aspects of social and religious life in the late Middle Ages, the golden age of synodal life in this cultural area.
Sixteen volumes are planned, edited by Antonio García y García (1928-2013). The project is sponsored by the Universidad Pontificia de Salamanca and will be published in the series Biblioteca de Autores Cristianos.
